All of these posts are emotive and informally written, contain pictures and references to other people/things, and are all structured differently. The anorexia and Cracknell blogs are a bout exercise and weight loss, whilst the others arent really linked, other than being about food. The anorexia blog is the only one that contains a swear word, whilst trhe rest stay away from them.
ReplyDeleteAll of the blogs have a sense of personal and emotional attachment, as they are each about something important that's going on in the writers lives. For example, the 'Kendall and Andrew wedding' blog takes you step by step through the process of an important event in their lives (where they brought clothing, decorations ect.).
ReplyDeleteAll the writers appear to be well educated judging by the extent of their vocabularly and how they structure their blogs, and they all appear to have a goal; 'challenge cracknell' wants to swim a certain distance, 'recovering anerexic' wants to improve her eating habits, 'kendell and andrew wedding' wants to have the perfect wedding for them and 'gastro chick' wants to make in the culinery industery. These goals and how they achieve them wins them attention from blog readers who want to know the outcome of their efforts.
All of the above blogs use chatty, informal language as though they are talking to well-known friends. They are extremely emotional and personal to give the reader a feeling that the person is actually in the room talking directly to them. They are structured in chronological order like a diary, with some of them including recipies/pictures to further draw the reader into the world of the blogger. They use some complex language to make the source sound reliable and intelligent; so people look up to them as an example.
ReplyDeleteIn all four blogs the writers have used a good range of vocabulary, they are all written in an informal style.
ReplyDeleteThey are also personal and show a lot about the writers thoughts and emotions, using the range of vocabulary mentioned before to do so.
They are structured in good sized paragraphs and in a conversational manner.
What is interesting is that the bloggers are not only venting their thoughts and emotions, they are also talking to their readers and discussing their thoughts with them.
